North Castle trees
Show Us Your Beauty contest winner
Congratulations to the winners of our Show Us Your Beauty contest.

The trees were judged by their location: how it sits in the surrounding landscape and how it enhances the landscape. The overall silhouette and what the tree looks like was also taken in to consideration.  "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and that has well proven since each of our judges chose a different tree as the most beautiful: contestant #4, #1 and #5.  Which brings us to the winning tree: tree contestant #3 won most beautiful tree with the most overall points. Congratulations to Contestant #3 Susan Geffen, she wins an Arbor Kelp fertilization and a property consultation from SavATree.

Contestant #4 unanimously won as the most unique tree.   Congratulations to Mitzi and Charlie Weissman who win an hour property consultation with landscape architect Robert Schweitzer.

Although the winning trees are different trees located on separate properties, the winners of both categories are of the same species Acer saccharum, commonly know as the Sugar Maple, a native to the United States.

Thank you so much to our judges: arborist Tom Marino of SavATree; photographer Carmen Celentano of Captured Moments Photography and landscape architecture Robert Schweitzer of Schweitzer Landscape Architecture.

Thank you to our contestants who took a moment to appreciate and share a glimpse of the fall foliage and the beautiful trees in our town.  Surrounded by natural golden browns and reds of this stunning fall season, we are all winners.
Show Us Your Beauty Contest

This time of year the air becomes crisp and the colors vivid.  We are surrounded by green gradually turning to splashes of autumn foliage before the trees shed their leaves.  Armonk is a place of seasons and the fall season is when the trees are the most beautiful.

AllAboutArmonk.com is looking for photos of the most beautiful and most unique trees in North Castle. Send us a picture of your tree and we'll post it. Send photo to Michelle@allaboutarmonk.com.

We have partnered with SavATree, Captured Moments Photography, and Schweitzer Landscape Architecture to judge our local trees for both beauty and uniqueness.

The trees will be judged by their location: how it sits in the surrounding landscape and how it enhances the landscape. We will consider the overall silhouette and what the tree looks like. Our experts will identify the genius, species, and determine if it is native to the United States.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The beholding judges are arborist Tom Marino of SavATree.com, photographer Carmen Celentano of Capturedmoments.com  and landscape architecture Robert Schweitzer of Robert Schweitzer Landscape Architecture.  The most beautiful tree will  receive a fertilization treatment of Arbor Kelp, plus a free property consultation from SavATree (some restrictions may apply). The most unique tree will receive an hour property consultation from Schweitzer Landscape Architecture. No obligations required.

All the photographed trees must be located in North Castle and we limit one photo per property. Please allow us to see the real image of the trees and do not alter the original photograph.

Four photos of magnificent and very old Maple trees are from Mitzi and Charlie Weissman's property. Some of the trees date back to the 1850s when the house was built.  The house was owned by the Platt family and the property was a pickle and cucumber farm. "Doc" Marx bought it in the 1940s and the Weissman family has lived there ever since.

The last photo is a Red bud tree that was planted eight years ago when their first grandchild was born.
