Republican Primary for 18th Congressional District Has Low Turnout

June 28, 2016
The unofficial results of the Republican primary election for New York's 18th Congressional District have Phil Oliva as the winner over Kenneth Del Vecchio. With all of the 68 election districts reported, Oliva received 529 votes cast, or 66%. Del Vecchio received 277 votes, or 34% of the 806 votes cast.

"Congratulations to Phil Oliva on his victory tonight,” said Ed Cox, New York State Republican Party Chairman. “Phil is exactly the kind of principled leader we need in Washington. He has the plan to put people back to work and will do what's necessary to destroy ISIS and protect us from terrorism.”
